The bells that I make are also from recycled materials. I mainly use welding bottles made of steel of all different sizes that have been decommissioned and can longer be used to hold the gases safely. Again all of the designs are welded by me and are accurate when I do the Chinese characters. As far as the wilderness scenes I either look at pictures and do my best to render it onto a bell or it could be just a picture in my head and it needs to be put on a bell. One plus that I do with the bells that most others don’t do and that is to fine tune the sounds that can come from them. If a bell doesn’t sound good to my ears after I cut it then I will take another half an inch to an inch off of the bell and try the sound again, and if it still doesn’t sound good I will keep going until I can get a great sound from them. Finally the finish process is again the same as the Tri Chimes.
