ABOUT sounds of steel enterprises

Working with different items that are made of steel that have been discarded by others either not of working use no use at all can be fun.

With me, looking at a shape can be interesting. I have the ability to look at an item at different angles and perspectives without having to move it. Others could look at the same item and find no use for it or see what I am able to see.

Working with steel is a great medium. With steel, if a wrong cut is made, I can just add a little welding and either put back what was taken or make it look much differently than what it originally was. I then go a step further with the art that I create. I also like to add the looks of wood in many pieces. The combination of the two can create a pleasant and appealing piece of artwork that many like.

The Garden Bells have many different symbols or pictures on them. I have never really been able to paint pictures on canvas, but with a welder and steel, I am given the opportunity to use the steel as my canvas and the welder as my brush and just let my mind flow freely and let my hands do the creating. It is so wonderful to see what I have made with my two hands when the project is completed.
 
My real satisfaction comes from either someone buys my art and enjoys it as much as I do by telling or showing their friends what they have or by doing a special order for someone and going with a rough or general idea of what they want and then putting my expressions into it and seeing the joy and happiness of them receiving exactly what they were seeing on a piece of paper from their own minds.

I now have been doing this type of art now for over ten years and I am still enjoying the creation process as much if not more now than the way I felt when I made my first creation.
